For our 25th Anniversary, our theatre, Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts wanted to publish
a book – one that would reflect on the unique combination of community and professional
performers, staff, volunteers and board members who have dared to tread our boards. Sheila had
recently authored a coffee table book about Oakville, and she agreed to help us with this project.
Sheila brought a wealth of experience to the table – marketing, communications, research,
interviewing, writing, editing, photography, presentation skills and project coordination – to produce a wonderful book that was exactly what we envisioned - a collection of photos, memories, and feelings
which perfectly represents our balance of community and professional entertainment. We still use the
book as a gift to this day. Sheila is a dedicated professional with a wide variety of talents and

For more than four years, Sheila Creighton worked for The Ontario Historical Society as
Communications Director and was responsible for all marketing and communications
including: Editor of the OHS Bulletin, organizing receptions, producing publications, selling and
placing advertising, building partnerships, and managing publicity and promotions. Her quality work,
strategic planning
and creative ideas helped raise the profile of this important provincial
organization. Sheila is a reliable, dedicated professional with a wide variety of expertise
