Treasure Map
This project was the first time major arts groups in Halton and Peel Regions
worked together to build their audiences. Volunteers from participating sites
helped to sell passports, and took part in the actual promotion as well. It was fun
and ran all summer so there was plenty of time to visit several places. There was
also radio and print advertising and a website detailing each participating site, prizes
available, various images, events and updates. Many people visited nearby art galleries
and museums in Halton and Peel, with a large percentage seeing a site for the first time.

People purchased a passport to see the ten participating sites.
They had their passports stamped with the special logos and
deposited an entry form at each site for a chance to win prizes.
There were also free food coupons and family deals which were
well-received and redeemed in large numbers.
